## **Founding Engineer**

*Bread Butter (bb.bio)*

- Own the AI stack end to end for **bb.bio**, a creator portfolio platform; built and shipped **AI onboarding** that turns a creator's social media into 3 portfolio drafts in **~3.6s** for **under $0.01 each**, with **zero failed LLM calls** in production.

- Built an eval and **DSPy GEPA** optimization loop on 52 real-user cases, lifting held-out quality **from 0.52 to 0.74** on the cheaper Flash model and cutting input tokens **66% per user**.

- Built the pipeline that imports creators' Instagram/YouTube posts into their portfolios and feeds AI drafts; caught a cost-tracking bug that under-reported scraping spend **~10x**.

- Launched the bb.bio **waitlist gate** across 4 sign-in methods with an admin approval console, pre-generating AI portfolios for **98 waitlist creators**.

- Built creator analytics end to end: fixed visitor tracking that left **100% of signups** unattributed, shipped a creator-facing audience dashboard, and live analytics APIs answering in **6-17 ms at 3x production volume**.

- Set the "evals before features" release gate, wrote architecture decision records, and mentored a new engineer.

- Built SmartThumbnails from scratch — an AI-powered thumbnail selection service that processed **4,500+ clips in its first month with a 99.2% client acceptance rate**, effectively eliminating manual thumbnail curation from broadcast workflows.

- Added multi-language, EPG metadata, and AI tagging support to the export pipeline, **processing 11,000+ clips monthly** and letting broadcast clients localize content without manual work.

- Automated conflict detection and metadata back-fill across sibling clips, reducing manual editorial effort and **SLA breaches by 25%**.
